Is this seadeck? Looks really good. Got a quote of $1100 just for the swim platform on mine. Hope pricing is better in Michigan. As I thought it was too much.

Sounds pricey. Check out Auqa marine mat. And there is a couple others.

Smokey that looks really good. They do clean up easy though. I got a quote for $1600 to do the cockpit. Through scwake as they already have the template and I think it will make my aquamarine Mat. I'll have to see if Aqua has one too I guess. I just want overly thrilled that they didn't follow my pattern very well.

I been actually surprised how low maintenance it has been. Every time I’m hanging out back there I usually have a little brush I leave In the rear locker that I wipe it down with.

That is sharp SM.

I’m on the fence about switching over. The look is fantastic.

I’m more concerned about ...

1. Wear. (what if the dog scratches it?... Replace or repair)?). I’m curious how durable you think this product is.

2. Colorfastness in the sun. Our swim platform is not covered and is exposed to full sun. That gorgeous Cobalt logo and exposed platform piece may fade quickly.

3. Grip. How slippery is it when wet? Our kids are constantly coming up through there dripping wet as they head toward the bow to jump off the boat.

Thoughts?

Aslan. Great questions.
My #1 main reason I switched over was for slip purposes. Every time I had people on the boat, they usually don’t like to drain off for a few before hopping onboard so the carpets would be soaking. This would lead to wet carpets during storage that id just take off and dry off. At times I wouldn’t even put them back on the walk way, which yielded on a very dangerous rear area. The rear little platform I had was usually so slippery at times, I had to do do something. I’m actually very impressed w it’s anti slip when wet so that gets 100% of my vote. As far as fade, my rear little deck is also not covered during storage, and so far, 1 year of ownership it’s been great. I cannot comment how it will last for 15 years like the carpets have lasted, even tho those usually are covered. As far as dogs, I’d think about that a little bit. I try to take care of it w sharp cornered objects like the second anchor. When I set it there for a few minutes while setting up or taking off, u can tell the weight of the anchor leaves a little imprint for a few seconds after I pick it up. Now how sharp or abusive are the dogs nails? I couldn’t tell ya but I’m assuming the same problem would exist for your interior seats and pads. I can take few pics and upload for my 1 year review. Hope that helps.

A7 I've run this stuff for the past 3 years now, first on my 240 and now my 262, so I can take a run at your questions.

Our little dog and her nails have done fine so far but shes little. She likes to run back and forth and play if someone is splashing water at her, so I usually just lay a towel down and it's fine. Now a large dog trying to climb back on would more than likely tear or gouge it, but just walking on it would be fine. The stuff is pretty durable.

I'm sure if you leave it exposed to the elements it WILL fade over time. You could always have a separate cover made for your swimdeck, or have one added to the cover you have. Either way, I wouldn't leave it uncovered during storage. Besides the sun it will get nasty. Cleaning is easy, especially with a small brush. Even a small tarp with bungie's would be better than leaving it exposed.

Grip is exponentially better IMO. Its soft underfoot and has a better grip than a naked swimdeck has. So that's a huge plus.

It looks a TON better. My 262 came with grey, and for some folks they love it. At first I thought I'd only change the swimdeck, as it had the grey stuff everywhere else, and I had bit of trepidation of changing to brown (sandstone) over black, but I think that color has a full and robust look to it, so I swapped. And I'm super glad I did.

If you decide to get it, be sure to measure the the size of the logo, and get it to scale for the application. Once, from Aquamarine, I just ordered with the logo but didn't think about telling what size the logo or lettering needed to be, and it was too small. Fortunately (sort of) they had run the lines sideways instead of long ways, so I got to reorder at no additional charge and had them enlarge the logo by 30% and it worked out way better.

Go for it!

This is the first full season with mine. It hasn't faded at all. I leave it uncovered all the time. Ok I only boat in the garage so that may help. 😁
Really last year I thought cleaning it would be a pain. This year of I just get it wet and 90% of it comes clean without even brushing it. I bought the special soap to clean it. I don't think it's any better then the soap I use to wash the boat with. Would I do gray again no. That was the 1 decision I let my wife Make. I never ask her anything about the boat and that was my 1 mistake. Go with the same color as YT and SM. I'm going to do the cockpit and I think I'll like it. It feels so much better and gives it a new boat look. Do it!

Thx for the advice gents!

We love our carpets and with 303 on them, they don't soak up much water.....and we even have one on our swim platform! The water tends to bead and roll off.

The extra extended swim platform does not have anything on it and with the texture, I am going to keep it that way. That's where our golden retriever could rip it anyway getting out of the water.

I am curious though, if you do get a rip, do you replace the entire piece...which is glued on?....or just repair easily?

Ytmsn, do you have the interior portion done as well? I’d like to see how that turned out. So far I only have the inner step, walkway and rear deck.

A7 I'm going to say your replacing that whole piece if you rip it. I never thought of spraying 303 on the carpet.
