Curious about...

Post by Mike in SC »

Looking in the engine compartment of my 2003 220, I see a spare pad that is perfect for a second battery. There is also a smaller pad built up, aft of the battery pad, and smaller, on the inside of the outer hull.
What is this for?
What are people using it for?
(I need to learn how to post pics...seriously!)

Where are your batteries? I've seen them on the inside of the dividers and outside. On my port side I moved mine inside so I had more room for the wakeboard and kneeboard.

Since the off season is upon most of us, I thought I'd kick this thread up again.
I'm still curious what might be mounted to that pad behind the starboard side battery in the pic above.
I have the same thing there and wonder what the factory had in mind...
Thanks,
Mike.

Yup, that right there!
I imagine it's just a block of wood glassed in place.
Cool, now I can sleep peacefully.
Thanks!
