Jason's 252 is BADA$$ and i doubt he will want to trade in. he put a killer sound system in it as well as a ton of other goodies. But theres always the "next" boat. And im a big advocate of the 240 lol.

HAHA I appreciate it. There's no way I'm cutting this one up at this point. There will come a day when it's time to upgrade, but at this point I'm going to enjoy all the upgrades! I'm going to try and keep my upgrades to a new set of trailer tires and a $10 power valve this off-season. lol

Holley Carbs are great!
Most had Holley marine carbs of that Volvo era. I assumed it was a Holley as he mentioned “ power valve “ which only Holley has.
Not to be a Debbie downer but most owners don’t know that a quick backfire on start up can pop the diaphragm, and result in a rich idle.
( Most people don’t know how to change them so they become a unknown rich condition).
My suggestion of Carter Afb or a edlebrock was for they have a different idle circuit design, thus require no maintenance.
But I’m a Holley guy as you can tune them in more capacity.

Demon carbs have a power valve as well, which isn’t surprising since they basically copied the old Holly Street Dominators, poorly. Get that Holly rebuilt and spend the couple hundred bucks to have it dialed in on a dyno, you’ll be amazed what a difference it makes.
