FLIBS 2019 pics

Post by Spine Guy »

If anyone has any pics from FLIBS, can you please post them here? I know the A29 is the only new model at the show but curious if any changes were made from the Miami show. And I wonder if they changed the top on the R35, to me it seems dated but what do I know?

Actually, I'm a long way from the boat show. I was also hoping someone would report in. :)

Come on Bob!! You didn't hear anything from the inside from the show yet? Man I searched the show last night on the web and found nothing. I think it's going to be Miami.

You are probably right. I think Cobalt's path is known - what we don't know is when the new models will start being introduced. I was told October, but who knows - the timeline could have slipped. Anyway, it has been snowing where I live so, not really any rush (for me). :)

I just want to see your eyes the first time you push the throttle down on that 430 in the r6. You have to have your kids record that this summer.

I think it is smart by Cobalt. Sell as many R3/5/7's now that you can especially since this is when dealers are ordering all their stock boats. That way by when boat shows roll around they have already sold 75% of the build slots for the year.

I was told that the R6 would be introduced in October and would start production in early 2020 and be sold in limited as a 2021 model alongside the 2020 R5 which will faze out during the year. The R8 (R7 replacement) would follow after that with the R4 being replaced last in the cycle. As I'm not in the market for a new boat at this moment, I don't want to keep bothering my contact at Cobalt (he is probably at the FLIBS) about the timing. If it isn't being shown at the show then I assume it is because they aren't yet ready to introduce it. I guess we'll have to wait and see. For now, I'm just left with watching videos from this past summer of my kids on the boat. :(

Well..... we were suppose to fly into Lauderdale tomorrow. My son’s bathroom on the second floor decided to spring a leak. Long story short? My builder has a two week window..we’re in Buffalo picking out tile. Complete remodel..
Vegas Friday, maybe my luck will change.
