Re: A29
So, I'm not in the market for an A-series, period, but I did watch the video and tried the broken link. To be honest---it looks like a Cobalt hull with a Malibu interior. I really don't care for the sharp angles on the interior (front edges on upholstry for example) and the front hand holds have sharp corners as does the rub rail on the stern. Really? The first rule of boat building is don't put sharp anything on the boat!!! It leads to bruises and bangs. I do know that the integrated floaty thing in back is powered, but that's not a big sell to me. I didn't see anywhere to attach a tow point, but that doesn't rule it out. You can see in the video that they seem to show a mock up of a screen behind the helm, but the last thing I want is to watch TV on the water...I go out to get away from that.
If this is the boat that they spent years developing, I'm disappointed. I do think this is what we should expect from the new R series on the inside. Essentially bench seating everywhere, including the bow area. As mentioned, no option for twins and I highly doubt a bow thruster.
Now, I have heard it looks phenomenal in person and there will be one at my local boat show, but overall, no way I would drop the $$$$ based on what I see here. Of course, I'm a focus group of one.
