My list of wants right now is a perfect pass and phone holder for wakeboarding.

Ahhhh....

Seems like NASCAR 200 m.p.h. tape would be cheaper..

it moves with the line so the camera is always on the rider. Not sure I'd want my phone up there, go pro is better quality anyway, and I sure wouldn't pay that much for one. The Big Air one is only $100: http://bigairwaketowers.com/accessories ... vel-mount/

As for the fenders, I got these to go with my Taylor Made 8" fenders and they are AWESOME. I can literally mount them anywhere on the boat, and height adjustment takes seconds.

Someone in the boat holds the gopro on a mount of some sort... Say a selfie stick.... That follows the skier or boarder? No crazy 100 mount required.

Now my rant. I have the fender clips and hate them. Unless you use the same dock every time there is no way to adjust them quickly and easily. Plus they have a big swinging metal weight at the end of the rope when not attached. For me they rank right there with the trash can. I have never used them successfully. Agree with tying the old way to cleats. . If I was ordering. A new boat I wouldn’t put them on it
That's the feedback I've been looking for...Thanks!
Fender locks/clips now coming off my "to-do" list.

Just got the boat back from the fiberglass guy and it is really impressive.

See the before and after. $1,000. That seems like a great price because he also repaired a nasty scratch.

I've only seen them in the windshield frames.

I mount mine on the windshield, cleats over the lines, railings, pretty much anywhere. They have made docking so much easier, and Mrs. akor loves how easily they height adjust because it seems like every pier on the Chain is at a different height.

First, just seeing this post - so sorry for Motex. I know that had to suuuuuuck! The after repair pics look great - glad you had a positive experience with the shop.
This just reminds me that there are no easy solutions to protecting our boats from the myriad of dock heights and materials out there. Not to mention some come equipped with minimal protection, or worse, bolts and nails protruding. When it comes to rafting up, I just don't trust others, and the time to fix someone else's stupid I just don't have.
I'm going to stick with my 15" Taylor balls - they look ridiculous (large), but they have yet to leave me unprotected. I even went as far a having felt covers made for them to keep fine scuffing down, as the no wake zones rarely are. Anyway, informative post and glad it had a good outcome for you.
Best,
Chris

I have found mine work perfectly for gas docks or when at restaurant docks. But when doing a raft up or tie up with other boats I have 4 regular taylormade fenders in the boat and I use the cleats.
Maybe if the docks are floating...maybe. If the docks are fixed...not so much.
Yeah thats the difference. We are all floating docks here. I would echo tgrace on their effectiveness when tying up though. You need a whole other set of fenders which kind of blows and takes up space.
