Yeah, not feeling it. In fact, It’s safe to say that I’m not a potential customer.
I should sue Elon for copying my Boy Scout “Pine Wood Derby” design I made when I was 8 years old..
Took me all of 2 minutes to design it, and cut it out of a block of wood.

Apparently the reason for the truck being as boxy as it is, is that it's made of fairly thick stainless steel panels that don't take shape very well in a press and so are best left flat. If it's a technical limitation, my bet is that it's slightly improved by release date, and they figure out a way to form the panels however they want by gen. 2.

It's a cost-saving manufacturing technique, yes. No need for stamping machines or a paint shop. It's not a technical limitation....done on purpose.

As the article you linked mentions, "Elon Musk recently elaborated on this in a recent tweet, stating that the Cybertruck’s 3mm-thick stainless steel exoskeleton is not very friendly to stamping machines. “Reason Cybertruck is so planar is that you can’t stamp ultra-hard 30X steel, because it breaks the stamping press.”"

I just want to see how far the cyber truck can pull 10,000lbs before I would ever put money down on one. I have seen several videos on youtube done that claim it will only be about 100 miles or less with the Tri-Motor. To me that is not very practical.

This. Also, the availability of super chargers will be a huge issue, at least in Kentucky. The only two in the state are in Louisville and Lexington. There are no charging options around Lake Cumberland or Dale Hollow. Until that infrastructure is built out the cyber truck doesn't do me any good regardless of how much it can tow.

Geeze a body shop nightmare when the Box holding the fender reads “ Good Luck “ instead of “ Up “

yep same here. There are 2 in the Branson area and a couple in Springfield but between here and there not much.
And towing affects range fairly dramatically. I wonder if we'll see supplemental battery packs that go in the truck bed or some such thing if you're using the truck to tow instead of haul things in the bed or just tool around town.

Should not be an issue if the extra extended range option is selected.
