I picked up one of these for an orbital buffer:

https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-742 ... 002654I46/

and use almost exclusively 3M polishing or buffing compounds along with different Lake Country pads depending on the job, such as:

http://www.detailking.com/store-home/au ... cessories/

Curious which compound product you like to use with your buffer on these fiberglass boats, BBP?
I like 3m but I get all my stuff from work that's made up from or supplier. Very very close to 3m
I saw Adams makes a great 3 step product and a swirl remover. I would try that on my black sides.
