Mine is factory mounted on the port side engine compartment “ Forward bulkhead. With the white foam trimmed around it.

The outlet charge harness runs to the port side back next to the fresh water spray hose.

I leave it plugged in all the time and have never seen tested testing voltages above 12.8. Plus no warm batteries. Lol

thanks man.
Put our 282 in the water on Saturday 4/4 with air temps in the mid 70's / water temps mid 50's. Feels great to get back into this hull (friend had one w/ Twin 496MAG's back when we were in college).

Going to install battery charger, w/ flush mount plug up. Got umbrella stand ordered from SlideRule.... need to order a new cover from Bald Mike..

Currently covered in a covered wet slip ... 10,000# FloatAir lift goes in 4/17.

was spinning the props on saturday and sunday. loved it.

I installed new NOCO 2-bank (not mini) 2 weeks ago. So far so good. I’ve purchased their products in past and good stuff. I too installed NOCO AC plug port and mounted adjacent to stern light plug and flag mount so I can plug in dock side.

I have. Noco Genius that I have used for several years. Its a single bank charger. No issues with battery or charger so I recommend it.

I have a number of other chargers for car and boats and its my currect favorite. I use Ctek and battery tender chargers on my cars. Both work great. Minn Kota is very well established name in chargers so that would be a very good choice also. Be sure you get a smart multi stage charger and some will shut off when the cycle is done. Others continue to charge at a very slow rate. It is better if the charger shuts off and just checks the battery charge state periodically. Constant charging can consume battery water more quickly. If you may someday want to go with a gel or agm battery be sure the charger has the appropriate cycle for them.

You probably know this, but unless you have a sealed battery check the water level regularly.
Nothing kills a battery quicker than low water/acid level. Dont ask me how I know.
