Lights are incredibly bright and really glad I did the conversion.

To summarize, 2007 252 style docking light takes a 4-1/2” diameter PAR36 style bulb which fits very tightly in the inside groove of the rubber boot. Easiest method is to break the old bulb with hammer over a garbage can (or try to pry out after heating boot in hot water). Reinstall new bulb heating in water and smear dishwashing detergent around outer diameter of bulb. Push down into rubber boot until bulb seats into groove- thank forum experts for this bit of advice.

Old Halogen bulb: H7604 GE, 4-1/2” diameter, 13.5V DC, PAR36 style, 50 watts

New Aero-Lites LED: PAR36L202, aircraft landing spot light, 2100 lumens, 150 watts

New lights a little pricey $150, but highly recommend upgrade.

Thanks!

Very cool. I remember when switching my old halogen lights on and off the house lights and the street lights dimmed for a brief second. With the new ones nothing. Perfect no surge at all. How where yours and the new ones? 150 watts sounds like alot. Wow I looked I think mine are 7watts. A7 will see you from 30,000 feet😂😂

yeah, I don't even use my docking lights because you can see the draw on the voltmeter, they draw a LOT of power.

I didn’t notice a thing. I did look up specs. Stock halogen draws 3.3 amps, Aero-Lite is only 1.35 amps. Numbers make sense; led usually always draws less amps and is more efficient with power. Regular incandescent lamp would draw more than the halogen.

Little surprised that watts tripled and still draws 1/2 the amps!!

Yea before I changed them and my stereo they old ones would even make the stereo turn off momentarily.
Yea 1.5 amps that's nice and low. Maybe just leave them on awhile to see how hot they get from the frt and the rear.
