Is Powell that far away.
Lake Powell is 400 miles away and its only open to people that store their boats within 20 miles of the lake.
Really. That's a haul. I thought they were opening it back up to everyone. Today part sucks too.

I like the way the Gladiator matches the R5, but I just use it to get the boat in and out of storage, it’s kind of tight. I think I will be using my F-350 tomorrow for my 300 mile one way boating trip. The Ford is much nicer to tow with.

Beautiful color combo! Makes me want to change my R5’s boring white with navy accent. I’m quarantining at the lake 5 days a week and the lifts/dock went in yesterday. We are anxiously waiting for the boats to come out of storage on 4/29. The sunrise this morning wasn’t too shabby.
Love those views. My wife’s corporate HQ is in Minnetonka. We’ve discussed moving that way when the time is right.
My wife’s corporate HQ is in Minnetonka as well, she’s at UnitedHealthcare. We struggle a bit with the winters In February and March after being in California for 20 years but overall we LOVE being back in Minnesota and being only two hours from our lake home. Minneapolis is a great city on so many levels and in a few years we will be wintering in south Florida and have year round warm weather for boating and just being outside.
Small world; That’s where my wife works. Maybe they know each other.

I took the Ford out for a run with the boat just to check things out.
Of course it’s opinion..but the towing stability and handling is incredibly different between my two trucks. I know.. Wheelbase is different and where inch does matter... and it’s a 2500 compared to F-350. Power is different, 380 torque vs. 1,050. Yada, but power doesn’t change handling...
Bottom line, Both HD trucks with similar rear spring packs. Both boxed frames, but a major handling difference when towing the same load.

I would trust my wife driving the Ford with the boat anywhere...but just straight and forward.🤣

For those looking for rock tamer style flaps, I found this machine shop in Indiana who custom makes them to fit into the sides of the hitch frame mount. My set will have locks.
They fit tighter to the wheel and under the body. The stainless portion at the bottom can be personalized. Suggestions to customize?

How is pilot health holding up? I know there are few passengers, but it only takes one.

This whole thing in like an unimaginable nightmare that has become reality.
