re: lighting.. If I’m going to swap out those two lights — one on starboard and the other port. Those are, as I recall, the only lights inside the boat. I’m 99% sure they’re originals. Same with the starboard power outlet which is looking rather corroded behind the panel — a good candidate for replacement.

Anyway, for the lighting, IF I’m talking only about the ATTwood products, I’m assuming I’m only interested in the lights on the following page of their catalog as they’re the only round ones that are not too small (1”) like a few of their others. I’m ignoring what they call transom lights as I don’t need lights that can be seen a mile or more away — lol! I suppose that I could also mount another pair up near the drivers seat area and the opposite side for the passenger — as these LED lights should consume a fraction of their incandescent brethren.

Apparently today is boat day in my house.. lol.. So, while I’m pondering all these decisions of what needs some TLC.. A few of my dash gauges are showing signs of age — my RPM meter (3” maybe) is currently reading about 1200 RPM even though the boat is not running.. My temp gauge is also showing about 135 degrees. As far as I know the temp gauge was working and shows about 180 when the engine is up to temp. I don’t know if the sending is the problem or perhaps the gauges are just tired and the return springs (or however they work) are just not returning the needles back to their resting positions..? Are these easily swappable with new ones or ?? IF they are swappable, where to get them so they look the same as the others.

Here’s my two offending meters for instance.. The rest follow the same sort of color scheme — tan/white and red-orange??

One other area — while it has no significance — but if possible I’d love to replace these.. Are these still available at some place? IF so, are they just the bigger sticker or the smaller “Cobalt” and “USA” stickers too? Thx!!!

Alright.. alright.. I see the point! A few questions for ya.. Is it safe to assume that you’ve bought (or know of anyone) a pair of these? Re: mounting .. do you know if the mounting bracket will fit into the same holes as the current ones? I’m guessing its a possibility but I might also need to put new ones in maybe? Thoughts? I’ll say that I’d be curious about how much a pair of those would be to ship to Cali! I’m sure it’ll be well over $100..

yep, I've bought these exact seats in solid creme for my old Glastron V195. GLS is crazy for shipping to Cali, like $400 crazy...but Wholesale Marine has similar ones with free shipping anywhere in NA based on cost.

As for the lights, just an observation from upgrading lights in my other boats, bugs LOVE bright white light. I typically upgrade to red as it doesn't impact your night vision so you can run with the interior lights on.

Thanks for that!!! I’ll be looking into my seating options! I just removed the starboard seats.. bolts missing, sloppy hardware, just plain tired!!

As for the gauges, CALL Kendoor ( (414) 421-4370), not the website, the actual store as they are a salvage yard and have just about every vintage of gauge you could ever want. Unfortunately you can't go and dig through the boxes of gauges yourself, so you'll likely need to send them pics of the gauges and see if they can try and find matches.

The emblems are still available from Cobalt, but I believe they are just vinyl decals that fit over the original logos.

Looks the same to me. But if you can fit something else Yea go for it. You can always change it a bulb for a led one.
Oh on the guages did you see if they all go to 0 when the key is on? It's common for them to sit above that with the key off. I replaced a set of guages on a 220 with new faria ones. I really liked them. You could also find a very close match then for the speedo to switch it to a gps one. That's what I would do.

On my boat?? Here you go.. The starboard seat is ripped — that just recently happened. I know that I can take the individual bits of these seats off — easy to reach bolts. And take them to an upholstery shop. If I’m going to re-do them I don’t think I want bright white but off-white like they are now. I’d also like to re-do the side panels above the port/starboard lights/12v lights — but don’t know about some pieces here and there and how to re-do them.

No issues with those, just better materials on the pricier ones. The $150-200 seats have less foam in the cushions, thinner vinyl, and the boxes are of lower quality of build than the $250-350 seats. Just another one of those get what you pay for offerings.

Thanks guys..! I’ll probably pass on the cheaper seats as I suspect I’d be unhappy after a few hours of sitting on one. I’ll see what my options are and more specifically see if they can send color samples so I can try to match the material with local suppliers (or perhaps they can sell me yardage directly to ensure color matching).. I might have to invest in a staple gun and do some of the re-do myself. Maybe that’s a bad idea.. I don’t know. I think the hard part would be the front area as I’m clueless on how some of the padding comes off.. Maybe the bits I could do would just be easier taking them to a local shop...

I ordered some red courtesy lights — the ones below. I doubt they’ll get much use but it’s a very easy swap. I did take the old light off this afternoon and it was an old incandescent ATTwood.

In white. I’m not sure I like the picture of the white/navy.. I like the fact that I can supposedly buy yardage direct from Wise to ensure color matching. I skipped on Deckmate — it might be OK. I skipped on the brand carried by GLS as its a Chinese company (New Star if I recall) and well.. These seem to be the big 3 — there are other companies out there but I didn’t see any that made these seats without them being custom ordered or something.
