That's a nice boat AJ, thanks. Not what I'm looking for though. I'm looking for an 03 through an 07 with a Bimini Arch, Captain's call and extended swim deck

I still might go up and take a look at it. He said there's a couple tears in the seats and that sure turns me off. I've discovered with my 240 that Cobalt vinyl is exclusive to Cobalt, that it can be matched. I just don't want to really go through that again if I can help it. Plus it doesn't have Captain's call or Bimini Arch. That arch really sets a 262 off. Definitely sets me off

A brand new R3 that is missing 3 feet of boat compared to what he wants.

I hear ya..Point was the 70k for a used boat was a proud number. If someone is willing to spend 70K, you are in brand new, loaded, zero hours and full warranty territory.
A few bucks more, and you are in a loaded R5 which probably has more interior room.

Haa! One of these days Tusc! One of these days! For now I just have to be happy to be looking for my kind of "deal""!!. It's out there. I just have to be aware of the opportunity when it hits.

One of these days, when I grow up, I wanna be like Tusc!.

Seriously, I'm after the hull design of the 262. That, and the arch. And the big block. And the extended swimdeck. And the CC...

I didn't mean it like that YT.
I think you and I are on the same page. I don't buy unless I buy totally right.
You might be surprised just how low some dealers are willing to sell a new boat for because mark up is almost hilarious on a Cobalt.
The used..and new market "ask" and what people are willing to pay sometimes makes me SMFH.

From what I have seen, and you may know places to shop with larger discounts that I dont know about, 65k puts you in new CS3 territory. Of course thats a CS3 w/ a 6.2L but who wants a base engine?

New boats are nice, but like a car they are a depreciating asset. Why not let someone else take that hit?

Oh we Are! We're on the same page. I think you and I are alike in many respects. I've dealt with enough car dealers over tbd years to know that boat dealers can't be much different. Or any seller for that matter...

I guess you may be right if you are willing to pay MSRP.

Local dealer is selling a CS3 /w the 6.2 for 65k which is 30% of MSRP for the boat. Not sure how much more you are going to be able to negotiate beyond that. Also not really sure how much it matters. Original post was looking for a 262 not a new 23 or even 25 foot R series. Just because you think buying a new boat is a better option doesnt mean its the best option for everyone.

I never said it was.
I was simply playing devils advocate in reference to the value of one particular listing.
