Looking good Smokes! Where you at on LOTO? The only reason I ask if you have quite the protective cove there which is a good thing for your dock and boat on that lake. My parents have a place in Osage by the 22 MM. They have a view out to the main channel but they are a good 200-300 feet from the mouth of the cove and the no wake buoy and they still lots of wave action at their dock. Or at least more than they care for.

We're at the 41MM in a cove. It's not no-wake, but the only wave action we get is primarily from tubers, wakeboarders and the god-awful wakesurfers.

I like it up that way. Has more of an old school LOTO feel to it vs. the blingly housing you see on the on the horseshoe bend/Osage area. How deep is your water there? Doesnt look like a huge cove....you get surfers back there?

So on those covers, is it really just press a button and it drops down? Then all you do is tighten up the bottom eh? Someday perhaps.

Looks like you've got quite the setup, Smokes. That thing is gorgeous and looks like it could comfortable entertain an army. What were your main reasons for switching from the 343? I've got to say, that's probably my favorite Cobalt design though the cockpit seems like it would be difficult to have more than your own family aboard.

Thanks Riverrat! We were in a 293 for 8 seasons and loved everything it offered. Always wanted to get into a 360, so in order to do so I sold it. The 343 came along while I was searching at a decent price and I talked myself into it. Great boat but just not the best for coving-out and evening cruises. Plus, like you said the cockpit layout really only works for 5-6 people.

Thanks YT! They pulled the cover from the previous owner's dock yesterday and scheduled to install on my dock next week. Can't wait!

Got to spend some time crawling all over it this past weekend. Changed all four fuel filters just for good measure (including the two $60 in-line filters! ) and changed the oil & filters (all 18 quarts! ).

I amazes me how original this 15 year old boat really is; right down to the cabin pillows, the refrigerator shelving racks and ice cube trays that were still wrapped in packing tape, to the OEM canvas eisenglass storage covers and the original winterizing instructions from Cobalt tucked away in a cabin storage drawer.

Also, had a chance to tryout the holding power of the anchor/windlass. This thing catches a LOT of wind. Dropped anchor in a long cove with a decent wind coming straight down the cove. Anchor held rock steady in the mud bottom and never hinted at moving.

To say the least.... I'm very pleased!

Was going to ask how much those covers run but it looks like you got a deal and it was included with the boat. Looking to get my dad a new cover for his 262 for fathers day so exploring all options! If anyone has an idea on the cost of one those covers, would love to know!
