That’s the least of my problems, lol. Looks like the last “mechanic” to wrench on the old girl loved the air ratchet a lil too much 😬

Some other highlights from the starboard adventures today.

So...waiting on my new set of bolt extractors to get here, got her soaking in some PB. It’ll give me time to replace the bilge pump line and figure out what that wiring is supposed to be powering. The starboard manifold has been leaking for a LONG time, just enough to keep everything moist. At some point someone tried to fix it, stripped that bolt round and said 🤬 and just put it back together leaky 😂.

I have time since the lakes are closed, pool it is!

Can you get the manifold off even. Do you have a wire feed welder at home?

I think that's your bilge pump. Brown is 12V + for automatic and brown/white is the manual bilge switch (dash)

That’s the last bolt holding the manifold on. Hopefully I’ll get it out tomorrow when my new set of impact extractors arrives. I have a Lincoln but I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that. It’s pretty tight to get the mig in there, I’d just use the fire wrench to pop the head off. Let’s all say a prayer the extractor does its job.

Well that’s wonderful. When I get the manifold off I’ll rewire it. Add one more to the list!

Gotta look up the serial number to see if it’s a roller motor or not. ‘96 was a change over year for several things, but it wasn’t done as one change, so the serial number ranges vary depending on what it is you need...

Finished the day with new plugs, wires, and some scrubbing. I’ll put the Sea pump and manifold back on tomorrow and start buttoning it up.

Yes sir, she got real hot at some point. Found a few melted wire sheaths around the exhaust manifold too.
