A week!
Wanted this done by Labor Day so we could do some boating. Hoping for Friday now to receive pump and install.

A week!

Driller in the thread that Aslan posted they talk about a product that turns them into slime, but i never saw the name of it. It shouldn't take to much to search it though.. Apparently you fill your engine and outdrive like you are winterizing, let it set for a week and rinse it out.Driller wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2017 7:35 am There must be a product of some sort to prevent the growth. Zebra mussels were recently found in both Lake Travis and Lake Austin. The municipalities pull their drinking water from these lakes. During the interview, some of them mentioned they were not worried so much as they had chemical injection lines at the intake where they could add chemical to prevent growth inside the pipes, and that divers could clean the outside.
I assume it is safe for the environment because I'm drinking it.
I thought the same thing, if I could flush my engine with some after use, I might prevent the plugging.
