R7 Surf / Dock Lighting

Post by Vurp33 »

Hey folks, new to forum and new to Cobalt and proud owner of new R7 surf. Pardon my brevity, as I am on my mobile.

My question is do I need docking lights installed? Was surprised these aren’t standard features on a boat like this but that’s a different issue. Hope to hear your perspective on how helpful docking lights are, and how frequently you guys use them for whatever way they may come in handy.

Happy boating, I’m sure this won’t be my last question. 😊

Cheers

In srk boat, 2020, new with plenty of add ons. 380 engine. Not a huge deal and not a costly bill to add the docking lights but wasn’t sure if they are a really nice to have or something I would rarely ever use. Think you answered my question give your response. Appreciate it!

Hey v33 welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

I’m a fan of docking lights on our Cobalts only because it’s more of a signature trademark of this brand. I’ve used them a handful of times over the last few years but they sure are nice to light up the trailer when pulling out at night. For the minimal cost, I say get them...plus they make your boat look cooler. 8-)

And again welcome aboard mate!
