Cobalt 220 transom speakers

This may have been discussed so I’ll apologize in advance. Has anyone put speakers in the transom of a 220? Mine is a 2004 so there is plenty of room on transom and clearance in engine compartment. I’m concerned about structural issues cutting holes in transom and water issues given that the speakers would be just above the swim platform. Thoughts?

I thought about putting some there. I just didn't think they would fit very good. I don't believe there is a flat surface there. Structure hard to say but I would think it's fine

Just above the platform the trans one is flat. There is definitely room. I’m just not sure I have the courage.

They courage drinks. It won't hurt you a bit. Just do it!!
I'll look at mine tonight. It gets very wet back there though. Not sure how long a speaker will last back there?
