I wish that's what it was. That would mean the boat is done.
I was walking towards the bow through the pass through. I ended up catching that 1" return for the wind breaking door.

Thank you.
Cover guy showed up tonight and I finally have something that looks like it might keep rain out of the boat. Suppose to be done tomoorw, but we will see.....

Picked up a nice Rev 4 21p propeller a while ago. But, just dropped off the Mirage plus 23p to be repaired today.
We'll see what the boat does with each and go from there.
I see white lightning is a 1998 252 with the 502 as well. Paying close attention to what his posts were regarding prop selection. He seems to like the Bravo prop a lot. And he's got the modified ECM from AZ Speed and Marine installed.

Lightning has the NLA AS&M kit that includes the billet flame arrestor, ecu reflash, and MSD ignition. You can still send them an ecu to reflash, but the hard parts as a kit are NLA.

He won't be posting. He went ballistic a few years ago on a member and said he was deleting his account. Lolxlint89 wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 10:44 pm Picked up a nice Rev 4 21p propeller a while ago. But, just dropped off the Mirage plus 23p to be repaired today.

Re: 1998 252 updating thread
Thanks, was hoping there would be follow up threads, Guess not.
Got a couple boat cover questions for you guys.
Did the factory mooring cover snap at the top of the windshield? Or did it snap at the base of the windshield and cover the glass?
How does the factory mooring cover address the "joint" at the base of the windshield where the cockpit cover and the bow cover meet? They would meet at the walk through and would create a seam where the water could potentially get into the boat.
Last question. On my windshield there are 2 plastic posts to keep the folding pass through glass from smacking on the curved glass and damaging it. What does your cover have to prevent these from wearing through the fabric?
Thank you

Re: 1998 252 updating thread
Unfortunately I don’t have any factory covers, just a custom one piece cover. On my cover they have reinforced 3 layer canvas where there are wear points like the window bumpers and Bimini mounts.
Also here is all the factory covers. Looks like the 2 piece mooring covers went to the base of the windshield and the convertible top snapped to the top of the windshield.

Very disappointing.
Started her up today.
Heard whining.
No fuel pressure reading on gauge.
Pretty sure I'll be playing with that fun one again.....
This boat hates me.

Wait, your new fuel pump is whining already? Did it stay running with the gauge reading zero?

Yep, new fuel pump. Like a puppy removed from it's mother.
Yes it was running. Whining would stop if I pinched off the return hose. (checking to see if it was the regulator)
It was a terrible time playing with that dam thing. I'm sure it was something I did.

Re: 1998 252 updating thread
Ordered everything this time. Not just the fuel pump and O rings.
New fuel cooler kit with pump. New "L" fitting, new regulator, and o rings.
Plan is to remove the whole unit from the engine. Marking the return and supply hose's location from the fuel filter/water seperator. And assembling the whole thing as one unit on the bench. Then re-install. That's the plan at least.....
