Bottom Paint for Florida Saltwater Boat in Wet Slip

Post by briancopps@gmail.com »

I just bought a 2020 Cobalt 30SC. I will be storing in wet slip in Key Biscane (no I don't want to dry slip as I use boat daily). Any recommendations on bottom painting it?

Thanks
Brian

I guess if I had to do it I would want it to match the color of the hull. I'm sure the guys down there are pretty used to doing this.

Hey Brian. Welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!

As a fresh water boater who keeps our Cobalt on a trailer, I can't offer much help. The only recommendation I have is do it since you are a saltwater boater in a wet slip.

Any pics of your 30SC?

Again, welcome aboard mate!

Hello from California - My 25sc is now on a HydroHoist. I was sold the boat and informed of the bottom paint but after much research, I made the "investment" in the hoist. I could not be happier. Do the research on divers cleaning your boat, logistics and cost of bottom paint. For me, the hoist made more sense. Good luck. I love my 25sc in the saltwaters of San Francisco !
