FWIW, we did not see any zebra mussels.

..just the hose restriction due to the caution not being followed in the manual.
It does make it tough when that instruction was pretty clear and the tech should have known it or refreshed info before doing. And BB may (or may not) add to this but in my experience dealing with techs, once a tech learns something he (or she?) not expecting something new to learn ( even though sh** changes all the time). And then they do it   wrong. I have several instances Personally I can point out. Oh and they don't like it when you tell them how to do their job too by the way. Same as I wouldn't but it's my money and I don't want to pay for it to be done wrong. ....again. And not to mention those things not yet discovered that will fail because done " the way I always do it". Ok sorry....getting off that horse. (Got a couple of those things going on right now).

But hey Aslan- hope you're on the water! Feel bad about the extra wait you've had! Hope your seller covers you and then some! So it wasn't just the twisted hose? Was there a way to measure the pump output pressure?

I was wondering the same thing is the dealer in Vegas willing to help you out At all or did he already. You spent alot of money with him not to have this and you missed a bunch of water time.

Yes
I'm working with them. Just have to solve the water flow problem.
If in fact the water is flowing after the 2nd hose install, then we have a little more to go on.

Still curious about the pump output vs the kinky hose. I might just want to keep talking about the kinky hose now that I think about it. Seems a might big coincidence to have 2 things in this link. Sorta like one of BB's mechanics coming up with a pump replacement then after finding the kinky hose to also need replacement. Kinky hose. Kinky hose. Can't stop.

Let's not get kinky till we get to Tuscany's garage :-)
Let's get this B"""" in the water and get it running. I know all to well what a tech Keeps coming up with. After ten tries they well get it. Spend a extra five minutes with your head in there and diag it.

New parts came today.
Hoses now taken off and outdrive taken off. Outdrive was scoped and is clean as a whistle. No zebra mussels.

Tech said the hose from the outdrive to the gimbal connect was pretty "twisted".
Unfortunately the one small tool needed that keeps them from twisting during a Bravo outdrive install onto the tapered insert is missing. Ughhh. They have to order this tool as they cant find it. I'm wondering if Gerry's marine did not have it either and they did the install without it--ignoring the caution in the manual thus causing it to twist

Now pushed to next week.

Good news is the new raw water pump is installed. Yay.

No worries A7! While they're working on the backend have someone go around to the front end and put an ice breaker on that sucker and you will be good to go!

Well

The special socket that is used for the install is in.
As are all the parts.

New raw water pump is installed.

Wednesday we tackle the dreaded hose coming thru the gimbal. Old one was twisted pretty good.

Here are pics of the hose where twisted as well as the special socket and threaded piece that goes into the hose.

(Sorry if they post sideways--using IPhone)

Thx BbP.

Yes

Wednesday I have to get that threaded piece into the hose from inside the boat which is to be inserted in that oval area on the transom while the other person outside the boat holds it (using those red pliers you see from my previous post picture) to keep it from twisting.

Any prayers would be much appreciated 😬

So are you doing this work on your own? I thought you had a dealer doing the work.
