3 alarm fire at Woodland Marina on the Mississippi

We kept several boats there in rack storage over the years. Probably 250 to 300 boats in there that are now gone.

Yeah very fortunate nobody died. It wasn't the best run operation over there so I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't insured properly. It's been going on for awhile now, my buddy who is a firefighter said they dispatched tanker trucks and foam trucks from all nearby counties, even some as far away as Illinois and it's still not out.

It's amazing how much and fast fiberglass burns once it gets going then add in fuel and oils. Would be tough to stop relying on tankers for water. Sad but like everyone said luckily no life was loss material things can be replaced although heart breaking as it can be.

Last I had read they estimated around 140 boats lost. The office and rack storage building were completely destroyed, but didn't like any of the docks took too much damage
