Why not that in an R7 if someone really wanted it and had the cash for it?
Sure you can order it from the Mercury factory. No way in heck will cobalt put blue in or even a 520 even. They said during the tour the rigging is just to hard. So they won't do it anymore.

Interesting. I wonder how often they get asked. I suppose from a manufacturing efficiency standpoint it makes little sense to deviate too far from standard packages.

I assume the 282 with twin blues mentioned above was done at some speed shop

I can tell you I inquired at both my dealer and the factory about a 520 in an R7 and they said it could not be done. They said they use to do it in the past but demand was so low that they didn’t want to spend the time figuring out how to rig it to work then warranty it.

The 282 and the 272 were both built when Pack was still running the show. I’m not trying to say blame malibu but different owners have different philosophies

Wow, great find! We need more blue motors!

We do!!!! I've only seen two other 272"s with blue motors in the last six month. Even with it being a sellers market...

Definitely. I remember reading about it on here. I think it was 1 of 2 built that year. It was a beautiful boat too.
