R5 they won't stand behind it!
If you're looking to buy a Cobalt, I hope it doesn't have any issues in the first 5 years, Cobalt, the engine company or the extended company will each point a finger at the other and neither will pay to fix it. I know i justy spent $2,300 to fix that when I bought the boat "everything" is covered for the first 5 years. LIARS! I would look at a Chap or another manufacturer. Yes my boat is a 2016 R5.

Hey bt. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
Also so sorry to hear about your Cobalt woes. The dealer or even the factory will most likely make this right for you. They have gone the extra mile in the past for others in your predicament. Have you tried calling them in Neodesha?
Any pics of your Cobalt? What are the specific issues?
Again welcome aboard mate....and let’s get this fixed!

Yea sorry. But I hate to say it every manufacture has its issues with the same stuff.
Sorry I wouldn't buy a Chap they are butt ugly. Remember every boat manufacturer use volvo or merc or Yamaha or Suzuki. So they will all point fingers. So it's the same stuff everywhere.
But hey let's hear and see what you got and let's get the factory involved. Sounds to me it could be a dealer issue too? Who knows.

BT if you came to this forum looking for help there is a lot of guys here that know a lot and have tons of experience. But I think you might need to write your posts with a little less anger and a little more detail.
What is wrong with the boat, how did it happen, what type of engine is it.
If anyone ever tells you "everything" is covered that is an exaggeration. Though, for me, Cobalt has been good to work with on warranty issues. If I were to hit a log for example and break seals on the lower unit that wouldn't be covered. (Actually this happened to my brother and they covered it. But they shouldn't have! Lol)
Did you get your boat new in 2016 or is this a new to you used boat?
If used, did you buy from a dealer or a private party?
People here can help....
