Design Your Dream CS Series No Longer Discounted

I'll admit that once every now and then, I will redesign my boat using Cobalt Boats' website, and for the last 3 years there was always a large discount reflected off MSRP, ($23,000+). Anyway, it is no longer reflected on Cobalt's website. Is this b/c pandemic and the fact that they have enough orders? Or are they changing their marketing strategy, and you'll have to go to the dealer and negotiate price down? Either way, I could not afford to buy a CS23 today at those prices.

From what I gather the discount shown was similar to what most people were able to negotiate on the other Cobalts. I will have to say when we were looking to upgrade our old 220 that marketing strategy triggered us to purchase a new CS23. I had never dealt on a new boat before and would have never guessed list price and sell price margins are so far apart on boats.

I am sure Covid is the root cause of the change, but I also wonder how many people like us will be turned back into the used market after this change?

That advertised discount, prompted me to realize my dream boat. Without seeing that a new boat could be had for a lot less than msrp, I probably would not have even tried to buy new. I guess no need to discount if you are selling every one you make......

Well, this should help all of us that bought a CS model at the reduced pricing! They truly are a beautiful boat!
