Right now I'm going with the plug, I think I'll have the transom outlet installed by a pro when I have the yearly service done.

I plan on switching to AGM as soon as these bite the dust. That's why I went with the ProMariner. They have a special mode for the Optima Blue Top AGM.

It has replaceable cap doohickeys which somehow control the battery charger. black- flooded/AGM, gray- gel, and blue- Optima blue top AGM.

Alot of guys like those chargers. I just haven't needed one. My boat sits for a few weeks and still fires right up. If I think it needs something I just plug a charger into it. I could see a advantage if you keep your batteries in it during off season.

It showed up. I've always wanted this upgrade and I was on eBay the other morning before work and it just got listed. I love the look of this on the new boats. I'll keep my original so I can swap it on my next boat as well. Oh I hope it fits.

Tuscany you might not like this. But I really like the rear stripe on the new boats. Do you think this would look good on mine. Then what color would you do?
Maybe the sides are not high enough?

Nice. I have oggeled those also. Much more open and sporty than my steering wheel. Is it a straight bolt on?

That's exactly why I installed it. Winter is short here, however 3 months is still too long to let them set. A charged battery won't freeze, a discharged battery will. The ProSport follows the following cycle: Charge-Condition-Maintain-Monthly maintenance charge. All automatically.

My Port battery would be easy to remove. The Starboard battery would be painful.

I thought the same about my batteries, never a problem, but the charger has been running about 6 hrs. Maybe that conditioning cycle takes a while.

I hope it's a straight bolt on or Matt gets a new wheel.lol
I didn't hesitate 1 second when I saw it listed. The good thing with this center on it I'll always be going straight.
The other ones that look like this I believe are not leather wrapped. I keep saying to myself I got a great deal on it. I'll post pictures hopefully tomorrow if I get it installed. Lots going I tomorrow.

Congrats on your new wheel BBP.
I'm not a fan of the new look myself.

Enjoy your days steering with it.

Wow driller.
That's an amazingly clean install.

If there were a boat show, you'd win first place for attention to detail. Gorgeous.

Those can only increase the value of any Cobalt.

Thanks for posting.

It's a little crooked, but I can live with it. Used the template and it was much larger than the spot I was trying to mount it in.

On the way is a battery watering setup. Plug it in and fill all the cells at one time. Last time this old fat man climbs into the bilge with a mirror, a flashlight, and a bottle of distilled water. Too old and stiff for that.

Have used a similar system on my golf cart for years, works like a charm.
