I need to move my boat from the trailer to dry stack storage. This will involve launching from the trailer and paddling around to the docks where the forklift can get to it.
My plan is to reinstall the quick-drain plugs, gorilla tape the water inlets on the outdrive and bag the drive above the props with more gorilla tape.
Needless to say, I wish I'd planned better!
Besides the drain plug, is there any other way for water to enter the drive or engine/exhaust?

Boy could water get in through the exhaust outlets in the drive and Bellows and gimbal housing?

The only place you are going to get water in is between the drive input hose and the water pump. No water is going to get past the pump if the engine isn't running. The exhaust will just drain out when you get the boat out of the water. The exhaust elbows are above the water line.

Thanks guys, I was pretty sure I had it covered, maybe overkill.
Next year I'll just have my mechanic come to me and avoid the foolishness.
