R6 and R8 Surf Reveal

I have my R6 Surf scoped with trim tabs. Honestly I don't know why you wouldn't use them in tandem with the surf system. They state on the video that you have to shift weight and trim on the motor to get the wave right so I'd imagine bumping the trim tabs would make that process even easier to lean the boat in the right direction for wave customization.

Now, they aren't clear if they lock them out or not which also wouldn't surprise me if that do that when in surf mode. If they don't, I'll bet you get a ton more customization on the wave.

I'm waffling back and forth between the R6 and the R6 Surf model and was watching the Cobalt "R6 walk through" video this morning. When I got to the cockpit sections I thought: "Am I the only one who thinks the audio controls should be moved to the glass cockpit screens?" Of course we'd still need a physical volume control knob, but Apple CarPlay (Android Auto) would be nice. With my current boat, all I use the console controls for is to adjust volume. I select music and playlists directly from my iPhone - its the quickest way. Thoughts?

I think it is the "honeycomb" stitched pattern in the interior recessed side panels. They show it in the long features video for the R surf model.

I heard they are starting to run out of 430s so you better do it for Christmas

The dealer says a late December order will arrive early July. But, my boat would a trade so I’d just use it until the new boat arrives. I prefer an early June delivery so I can get 10 hours on a new boat before the water sports season starts. If it was a surf boat I think I’d order with a 430, but a non surf would be a 380.
