Wakeboard tower water drainage when folded

Post by JJW »

I have a 2021 CS22 with a wakeboard tower. I would like to fold the tower down when storing the boat in my boathouse so that I can lift it higher. However, with the tower down it exposes the holes for the wiring and bolts. If the lake level rises above a certain point the boathouse is designed so the boat floats out which would expose those holes to rain and water would definitely go down the holes (the mooring cover does not cover them). Does anyone know where that water goes? Does it drain or would that be a problem? If letting water into those holes is a problem I guess I can have extra covers made.

It is designed to drain into the bilge. Then if it fills up enough the bilge pump will kick on automatically

Hey JJW. Welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!

Are you able to cover those holes by wrapping a piece of plastic bag, saran wrap or something of the sort to keep water from getting into them? Any pictures?

Again, welcome aboard mate!

Thanks for the replies! It looks like I'm okay if some water gets in but I might have some covers made anyway just to be totally neurotic!
