I'm big on flashlights, a big fan of Surefire, Streamlight and some other pricey brands.
But seriously consider a headlamp, a light with an elastic band to go around your noggin.
If you ever really need a work light, you'll love one of those, and something of an area work light.
Just my .02 cents. Lots of great suggestions so far.

Can’t go wrong with SureFire... I’m a huge fan after using them in the military and working for DHS. I used the same one for about 15 years before I finally decided to buy a new LED one and kept the old one as a backup.
