New Boat Delivery Delays (Resin shortage)

Well this thread got me to thinking and I reached out to my contacts. I found our boat will be delayed now, to when IDK. I went back thru my emails and found the one from Cobalt and at that time in late March everything was OK. What a difference a month makes.

We initially set a build date in hopes that covid would be in the rear view and we could tour the factory to see our boat built and would also it help with storage issues. That is all hind sight now wish we would have just had it built last fall and paid the dealer to store it.

Dustin - Very sorry to hear and fingers crossed that things aren’t pushed back too long for you. When was your build scheduled to start?

Thanks. We will be OK if its late I will just go drag racing a little more. The start date was 4/13

Did you end up ordering a new R30 or did you go Formula? Or decided to wait out the madness?

Yeah its pretty damn ridiculous......I went into the grocey store on way home from work the other day to buy some chicken wings.....didnt have any. Chicken wings of all things! Produce area looked bare, along with some shelving space. The one positive was the alcohol isle is completely stocked full On top of that buckle up for more inflation, manufacturers are reporting spikes in pricing for commodities that will get passed down to consumers eventually.

There is a ridiculous supply of both money and demand right now. I believe the last FED report suggested they are seeing signs of inflation finally but unsure if temporary vs. long-term. I'm guessing we'll be in this mess through 2023.....but I'm all too eager to be wrong.

Man, a resin shortage? Plants closing down? We are living in Bizarroworld.

TR Yep Crazy world for sure. No was ready to order the R-30 but then covid hit and my business really took a hit. Now I'm glad because I believe that in a couple of years there will be some very low hour R30's for sale. How are you and your family?

They got us on the trailer so we are stuck for the duration. I doubt I would be able to find a 300hp CS anywhere now
