Yesterday was our first 4th on False River. We noticed the boats gathering for a “boat parade” according to a face book page. Finally we decided to check it out and this is what we got into.
A water balloon fight!!
The most fun I’ve ever had in a boat with my clothes on
Screen grabs from a video. If you look closely you will see water balloons in flight toward us. We learned quickly to jump in the water and pick up intact balloons so we had ammo too. We will be prepared next year!

Great night in Destin harbor for fireworks. You know it’s a holiday weekend when the 30 for boats look like dinghies. Some heavy hitter Vikings and Luhrs piled in on the beach but we were able to hold our little slice of beach for a great view. Had some passing storms and showers that made for a very interesting sunset, looked like a towering inferno for about 5 minutes. All in all a fun day and night.

Not my photo but cant even imagine the mess it would be to get out of here. Some what local lake for us Okoboji.
Blows my mind that's even allowed somewhere. Pretty certain the rafting rules on Winnipesaukee are two boats max. Otherwise you have to have 25' between boats in all directions.

My wife just goes that's a nice outdoor toilet.
We were in 2 rows of boats like that on Cumberland and couldn't get out for 8 hrs. Wife was pissed. We weren't in our boat so we were stuck. Since that day no more boat trips to other states in groups like that for her.

Do you think maybe that's just an excuse for getting out of the TRL Cobalt Regatta?

No excuse. I've been trying to get her to go. We aren't drinkers and that's the other big part. That group ruined it. I told her we were more grown up.
Yep she's still not going.

It was a great 4th of July week at the lake and we put over 34 hours of total run time on the R5 and Marker One and we had to refill our 300 gallon tank for the second time in 8 days, lol. My two oldest are ages 21 and 23 and were using the Tritoon at a sand bar 9 miles up the lake during the day and then bar hopping with it until the wee hours of the morning so they were putting 40+ miles each day on our Marker one.
My daughter and her friend mastered the tandem surfing over the weekend and were super excited about it.

Bum, love your pics. Always good for a sunset. Even the fuel truck tells a story. I've never noticed tandem surfing, so your daughters are the first I've seen.

I love seeing all of these great pics. Thanks for sharing. We had an impromptu date night at the lake last night. It was beautiful out. Perfect weather.
