We rented a house on Diamond Bluff that had a great view of Greers Ferry Lake.
We had 15 people, all on the admiral's side of the family and had a great stay.
Weather wasn't great this past weekend, until all wife's family left on Sunday, then one of the nicest days of the year.

It was my 34 anniversary married to the same woman..who seems to love boating more than me.
So, we went out by ourselves on to Lake Erie in what was an absolutely perfect day. Traveled the Canadian shore line and then up the Niagara River to the Falls and back.

Interesting weekend as Tropical System Fred made its way in to the area. The wide part of the bay was pretty rough, windy with some pretty good white caps out there, had to be careful not to stuff the bow, but the boat performed really well aided by my expert pilotage.

Spent the day in a secluded spot deeper in the Santa Rosa Sound to get out of the wind and rough water, had our own little island most of the day.

Had to cut and run by the late afternoon as some big storms moved in, wind really picked up and water was even rougher than the way out, but we made it back. Too bumpy to pull the phone out to video.

Luckily TS Fred missed us just to the east. Winds plus high tide put the water pretty high in the yard but never came over the wall, though neighbors dock washed over just a bit. Luckily, for us, next one seems to be headed to the western gulf.

My oldest daughter took this photo for a friend. Heck she might have bought it?

A couple more beautiful weekends till I’ll have to pull the boat out for the season due to low water issues at my dock.

That’s not the half of it, whole deck needs to go, trying to get lined up for early spring. Dock and deck have seen a bit of battle before we arrived this year. About 4-5 feet of surge last year and 9 feet during the last major.

Right. I would be pooping my pants if if I saw that sky chasing me down. Lol

That's why your next boat should have a head.

Maybe it's different in Florida, but in Arizona we would be back on the trailer or in a cove if that cloud was near us.
