Thanks for the pictures. What I have learned from seeing a Navy boat (2019) up close, is that you can't really tell what the colour looks like in a picture. I'm also waiting on the dealer who is checking with Cobalt to see if the Navy colour has changed since 2014/15. The combination looks nice in the pictures (conservative) though.jhnmdahl wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 1:37 pm Navy hull with sandstone stripe looks about like this (delivery day in 2015):

And with a black Touareg for reference:

I just spend a half hour on the dealer's lot and couldn't really get a second look at the Navy/Pacific Stripe/Navy boat as they wrapped it up again (its snowing here today. I did see this R5 that has got me thinking. What are everyone's thoughts on this colour combination?
The other possibility is the Ebony hull, with a Knock Out Red edge stripe and a white bottom. Maybe a bit less "in your face"?Big Block Power wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 3:50 pm John where did I see that boat before? I love those colors. That's what drew mine to me. I ayesha it had the boot stripe but oh well I gut the engine instead. I'm happy.
Table rockins hull looks awesome. I didn't think I would like it but it's sharp as hell. Now tgrace98 can't go wrong with all white!!
I like the look of the boat, but to my eye, the WSS graphic kind of breaks the flow up a bit. Maybe too much contrast over a larger area? I think that is nitpicking though, it's pretty nice. I think I'd want to stick to a white Arch though. It would look lighter. I wonder if that would look out of place?Big Block Power wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 3:55 pmNow that's filthy!!BobRae99 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 3:48 pmThanks for the pictures. Sorry BB, the boat will be equipped with a 350, which I'm sure is more than enough.Big Block Power wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 6:03 pmMaybe black with a Dreamsicle stripeBobRae99 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 4:03 pmThe other possibility is the Ebony hull, with a Knock Out Red edge stripe and a white bottom. What can I say? I spoke to Cobalt directly and they have no performance charts for the 380/430 other than peak HP. So we don't know what the torque increase over the 350 is. I've written to Volvo Penta and haven't heard back. Cobalt says either engine will provide excellent performance in the boat and that I could expect a speed increase of 2-3 mph and similar fuel consumption. So, because I have to stop somewhere and there is likely an R3 (or R5) Surf in my future (3 -4 years), I think I'm going to be fine with the 350.akorcovelos wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 11:07 pm No such thing as more than enough.
