Thanks.. I ordered the seats, a new cover and some extra vinyl.. maybe in a week or so I’ll have it here.. in the meantime it’ll probably be a bit quiet..

Ok.. I think I found the seat I’m after.. It’s the wise one linked to below :

In white. I’m not sure I like the picture of the white/navy.. I like the fact that I can supposedly buy yardage direct from Wise to ensure color matching. I skipped on Deckmate — it might be OK. I skipped on the brand carried by GLS as its a Chinese company (New Star if I recall) and well.. These seem to be the big 3 — there are other companies out there but I didn’t see any that made these seats without them being custom ordered or something.

The wise seats are 26 Oz viynl and I think the others were 30 Oz.

I saw the 26 vs 30 as well.. what I noticed is that for the same product, some sites listed different specs.. that certainly makes things more challenging as to figuring what is correct or not. I ultimately went with the Wise products because: 1) reviews by others that were pleased with the products, 2) the easy availability of extra vinyl in the same color

Hi all.. No, my parts haven’t yet arrived. Lol

I’ve got a few lose ends to figure out before my other stuff arrives in a week or two. This one should be pretty easy I guess but its tripping me up a bit. It revolves around the 12V outlets in the boat. There are a handful — maybe 3 or 4? Two in the rear and at least one on the dash — I suspect there’s one on the port front side across from the driver but I don’t recall off the top of my head as I write this. The originals are still in place and they’re not all that great anymore — I’ve got easy access to one of them and it’s fairly corroded. I could replace some of these with another stainless steel version or suck it up and put in black plastic models instead. There are only a few stainless steel versions out there — on is SeaChoice (can’t find any legit reviews) or another brand (Seafit) that I can get at West Marine locally for $20/ea (ouch!) which gets poor reviews. I’m frankly thinking of just switching over to receptacles that have USB connections and skip the standard 12v power directly — or something along those lines. I don’t frankly know what I might be tempted to plug in that’s old-school 12V as everything is pretty much USB these days..

Thoughts? Obviously if I go with the USB then they pretty much only come in black from the little research I’ve done. If you’re happy with a particular brand, please I’m all ears!

Ps. I ran across a dual USB outlet by PowerWerx that looks pretty nice — it has a light so I can tell its on, etc. A bit more spendy and there’s probably other similar items out there. I just want to ensure whatever I get has a cap to keep any water out when not being used.

A winter project on a previous boat I replaced all the "12V power ports" with that same style USB outlet. There were a bunch. (36 flybridge boat, bridge, cockpit, galley, both cabins, even in the head!) I was so very pleased with myself, as Phone chargers, IPad chargers, even RC boat chargers were removed from the AC outlets and installed in the USB outlets.

First warm outing someone pulled out the air pump for the inflatables... yup. Normal 12 VDC power port.

If I were to do it again, I'd leave one old school.

ok.. Thanks! I'll keep that in mind.. I've got to get a final count before heading out today.. but I think its' either 3 or 4..

The emblems are still available from Cobalt, but I believe they are just vinyl decals that fit over the original logos.

I emailed Cobalt and they don't sell the decals directly -- but suggested reaching out to authorized dealers. Anyone happen to know if any dealers might have decals? Cobalt thought the older stickers might be a bit more tricky to come by as stock is dwindling. I called a local dealer (the only one near me here in Cali) and the phone just rang and rang and rang.. I wasnt sure of that's what your looking for. But these always look like crap from sitting in the sun. I can't believe they are still for sale. I would get rich making them. These should be on every boat that already has them.

True.. I’ll admit that I’m not too thrilled at the pricing.. I have to believe that these are probably knock offs and that someone is making big $$... those sticker probably cost under $5 to make... but what do I know.. I might try reaching out to some dealers with new old stock and see what they want for them.. probably not worth the effort..

ok.. I'm on hold for buying anything online.. Doh! I had someone making odd charges at a Best Buy store in Richfield, MN early this morning.. My card has been shutdown. Doh! I'd rather have that than allowing $2500 to go through..

Anyway, my question for today is what are these wires for in the throttle/drive controller?

IF I plug in the battery for the boat (its currently on the floor of the garage), will these touching each other cook anything? I'm guessing IF I'm going to apply power I should insulate these wires until the new control is installed. I'm assuming at least a pair of these wires is for the drive lift..
