Maybe you’re right, maybe not. Cobalt has a pretty broad lineup of boats, maybe the go fast boats will be the CS series and the R series will slant towards luxury. But, I wouldn’t count performance out on the new R series yet. Every review I’ve read on the current R series gives it high marks for its ride performance and handling. I’m thinking Cobalt is looking to improve the boat, not take away what has made it successful. I agree that an 18 degree deadrise and more weight in the stern could improve surf wave quality and the market seems to be trending towards surf these days.
