Im the guy that just lets the boats disperse before we head out. Im never eager to get back no matter the time. Still come on...no running lights? Guy needs to take a boating safety course ASAP.

I was at the Kimberling City fireworks and the wake afterwards was crazy. I couldn’t see anything even with my nav lights on. And the wake going around that bend leaving Kimberling City going back towards Indian point was crazy. Easily 3-6ft. But once I got about 2 miles away it calmed down and I was able to cruise back at 20-30mph

Edit. I must say that was my first night time firework experience. Next time we are just staying put and going back after the crowds. On the 4th I went to chateau on the lake’s fireworks and the ride back was nothing.

Must of been the cruiser brigade out. The one great thing about boating is each trip out is a new experience no matter your previous level of experience. Thats part of the addiction to boating for me. Its almost always a slightly new experience. Next time T just stay put and let the yahoos disperse

Now that i say all that ill be the next Ahole that has issues in a situation like this.

We've done the Crazy Hilton fireworks show off the main channel. Escorted by Sherrifs just off plane to create cross wakes at night. 2 capsized last year .

So now that our town sponsors fireworks show at the Waterfront. We rented a slip, talked our toon buddy into taking us ( yes this is where pontoons are cool) and had a blast!

Tied off and partying is the only way to go out here. Besides.. restrooms when drinking lemonade is important

Haha, yeah my anxiety got the best of me that night. I was nervous going back to the harbor that late at night. All the boats started scattering so I just went with the crowd. Waves weren’t that bad. I just went slow and let the bow go whatever way it wanted to. I wasn’t worried about the wake. More about the idiots going every which way. I had a little bass tracker on my tail no more than 50ft part of the way. If I would of stopped the boat he would of hit me for sure.

So needless to say next year I’m going to my buddies house in kimberling afterwards to chill and let the crazies go.

Oh we used them quite a bit YT. I tuck them under and behind the helm seat when not in use.
