When my wife thinks she recognizes something I have said that might be a little inaccurate says "Er Du Gall?".
Translation from Norwegian - "Are you crazy". Why she thinks it has greater impact in a foreign language I have no idea.
I usually reply with the only Norwegian I still remember "Jeg elsker deg". That ends the discussion.

The name of our boat is
Schoonin'.
IMAG0053 (2).jpg
Yes it is kind of weird. The back story is this.... When my boat partner and I bought the boat in November of 1989 (boat's an '85) the name on it was
BoJo for the first owners, Bob & Joyce. My partner just wanted to add a "B" to the end but I convinced him that was probably not the best thing to do so we just went with no name. In 1998 I got out of the partnership and relocated. Shortly after, my partner had a bunch of work done to the boat including a repaint and added the
Schoonin' name. He owns 2 dockside restaurants in Long Beach, CA with the oldest and most successful named
Schooner or Later.
http://www.schoonerorlater.com/home.html Therefore the name,
Schoonin'. Schooner or Later is a very popular restaurant in Long Beach and several years ago it was featured on an episode of The Food Network's show,
Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.
Not my favorite and I do know the required ceremony required for changing it but the name is painted on so it going to stay for now unless I have the boat painted.

Great back story Shawn.
...and the blue color on that hull is very classy. Matches the name and font style so well.

My favorite name I used to see on a boat in Northern Cal was, "Nothing Clever". You are welcome to use that T550. Another name I like is, "Pau Hana". That is Hawaiian for "Quitting Time."
