Well there is something I never thought I would read. Lets do a quick rundown of what we have going on here:

A Propane Grill
Mounted on the edge of a swim platform that is at most 2ft wide
On a 21ft runabout
With a homemade mount that features plastic hardware
All about 2ft From the engine compartment and blower vent

I love BBQ as much as the next guy, but I have never thought about being able to grab a hot dog fresh off the grill after some tubing behind the boat. Winning I guess?

Just don't make a wake when you catch up to me. No melting vinyl I hate the smell of that.
I can see it now. Is someone cooking a Johnsonville brat and the whole lake comes running.

There wont be any "catching up" - those two grills on the back are really going to slow you down.

I'll strap the lids down so they don't act like a parachute. Lol

You might want to put a mount on the other side of the platform for the table?
You need to put the brats somewhere!

Sab I think you should look at pulling the stereo and mounting a convection oven. Thats much safer than an outboard grill. Then your brats can't get away from you. Or mount a cookie sheet on top of the motor for more even cooking. But you'll have to install a brat brake to keep them from rolling off. Just a thought..
BB or Matt can find you a brat brake I'm sure.

You guys are brutal!

In SABs defense, the mount isn't home made - that's what Magna sells for the grills. In Lake Winnipesaukee, we see grills all the time on 21' boats.

For what its worth, we are going to have one on our 250 as well, though I'm not planning the giant stainless Magma unit. Just make sure those through bolts are sealed up real well SAB!

Check out this guy's boat. I'll eat off of his boat anytime. That has to be the cleanest fishing boat ever.

Yes it is giant, and knowing your work process slide you would build it to double as a tow hook.

It's Sunday.. the brutality has washed away.

Doesn't anyone make sammitches?? Sorry that was my last one

I paid more for a "inf-red" (did I say that right) grill so I don't know if that will reduces flare-ups. Yes a concern. One note about the table, If I had a bigger boat I would have other options but I have a small cockpit (2004-220) my choices are limited w/ seats and people passage.

For the disbelievers and w/o debate .. I'll see you in the waist deep Sebago, Brandy, Long lake sandbars in Maine for a burger and a beer! AND as a former Sternman of the coast of Mass, yes we did cook off the engine but it was a bulkhead mounter heater.
