I really don't think you have a problem though.
I'm not worried about idle speed. I was thinking being able to get to 2500 or 3000 (or higher) rpm while in the lake, while in neutral to observe the water flow with the engine hatch open. I am always leery about rpms with no load.

I think I read somewhere you shouldn't go above 1000 for a certain amount of time.

Ran it without thermostat to see what would happen. The low flow side turned into the high flow side. I didn't run it that long but played with it a bit and brought it up to 1500 rpm which is the most I am willing to run on the muffs.

I plumbed a garden hose into the inlet on the thermostat housing and ran water in (not running the engine). It flowed more evenly through the two manifold hoses. I'm guessing a representation of getting more volume.

Finally, I put a valve into the side that flows higher. I was able to balance the flow in the driveway. Test will be when I get to the lake and get an opportunity to run harder.

If it works out I will look for a reducer or an adaptable heater control valve that will accomplish the same thing in a smaller package.

I wish I could figure out what caused the change, but I'm done trying to figure it out this year. It's a hack of a fix, but so be it.

The valve seeks to have done the trick. Not sure what caused the change in flow, but I have the manifolds pretty close in temp. The boat ran strong today, though I wish I had a few more ponies.

60.7 GPS mph with the wind at my back.
57.5 gps mph into the wind.

Now I need to clean the boat, fix my chartplotter mount, and install my onboard charger. This winter she will get some gel work and then some kind of pad on the swim platforms.

Very cool. Get to boating. But is the cooler manifold now the same temp as the hot one or the other way around? Or somewhere in between.

Runs strong! And I'm glad you have it settled. You would see a even temp if it was possible to temp gun those manifolds at 3000 rpm. ( as it does pressurize fully )

Probably blow the hatch to try it so let's not.

Now we are on to BBP spending your $$ on fun stuff.. we will all help.

Hey where's the boating pics with the hatch closed? :D

Let's get pictures of the inside and see what we can update?

I think I already posted pics of the stereo on one of the other threads is done. All the speakers were replaced when I did the stereo.

I would like to ditch the carpet for a pad like seadek, though probably not seadek. I have a vapor alarm to install at some point and I want to put in different group 31 battery trays. Needs a thorough cleaning and some LED lights because..... well just because.

Yea I remember. Great set up. You already had a great start on her. I really like the feel of the marine dek. Not a fan of how much dirt it shows. Thank God it cleans easy. It wasn't that hot here this last weekend but my carpet was very hot. Time to check the penny jar.
