On buttery flat water i've reached 70mph... with just my wife and I in the boat. 65 is easy with 4 people and about that time my wife is giving me the "stink eye."

Where do you do your boating. Your in Idaho? I’m just amazed that at 3000 ft elevation your finding 70 mph.

We have some other merc HO members as well so when you can share you gear ratio and prop pitch as we love speed.

And are you using a gps or dash speedo?

Now we may need some inside pics to rule out you’ve gutted the Cobalt and are using lawn chairs to save weight ? Just kidding..
