I also think its intriguing to see how they stack those boats into a shoebox storage. Southernboatman stores his like that. One of these days I'm going to go to a storage facility and look a little closer.

I'm forever forgetting my phone or yeti or glasses or wallet or something my wife forgets, so I have to jump back on the cart and run back down to the dock. I can't imagine having to get something out of the boat if its already put up.

My Dad lived in Spokane for 30 years and the Tri-City area for 10 more before he retired and moved here. Snoqaulmi is gorgeous! Does it still rain as much as it does in Seattle on the western slope?

On your trailer do you have torsion or spring axels? If torsion you want to run as close to level as possible to slightly up if you can’t get perfect level. Found this out recently on mine

Welcome from St. Louis/Table Rock lake. Love the WSS graphics on the 220! I am a big fan of the pacific northwest. I use to do IT consulting and one of my customers was Boeing so I have spent my fair share of time in that area.

Scout has really come a long way from their basic models. My dad owns an 18 foot fish and ski Scout that he runs in the bay out in Maryland. We had a good time on it back in July. Again, thanks for the pics!

I appreciate the continued welcomes/positive feedback on our Cobalt purchase. This past weekend I spent hours detailing it (loving every minute, that is, exploring every inch). Also, thanks for looking out for me with the trailer (torsion vs. spring axels). I did verify the 2016 Eagle trailer (which had never been used) has spring axels. As a result, slightly nose down (which I prefer) is a-ok.

Looking back at your questions/input…

Stacked storage is a great way to go for many and it’s extremely convenient. It was a hard decision to not renew the contract. The wait list is substantial. I, however, like having easier access to our boat for cleaning, maintaining, admiring, etc. It’s truly a personal preference.

During the winter it does rain more in Snoqualmie than Seattle. It, as my wife from the UK says, is like someone is spitting on us (in a good way). We’re a little warmer/dryer than Seattle in the summer (which is about 30 miles away). It’s like having six/seven months of spring and five/six months of summer. Yesterday we finally had some rain! We haven’t had anything measurable since early June. It is a beautiful area – a great mix of mountains and lakes/rivers and access to salt water. We’re about 30 minutes from salt water and 30 minutes from 400 plus inches of snow during the winter. It’s nice visiting the snow in the winter rather than snow constantly visiting us (after years of living in Minnesota/North Dakota).

I agree that Scout has truly come a long way. They offer high-quality craftsmanship and lighter yet sea worthy hulls that offer improved fuel economy. Great to hear you had a good time on the 18 foot fish and ski. It’s such a versatile platform for family fun. I've owned an 18 Larson fish and ski and an 18 Crestliner Sportfish. Tons of great memories on both.
