Hmmm... I just thought of something Matt. Ya know how there are rudder indicators and trim tab indicators?

We should invent fender indicators so a guy that forgets to pull his fenders up doesn't look like a dweeb running across the lake.

Your welcome. That's a million dollar idea this morning...
I bet Slide or Thunder can have a prototype worked up before lunch.

Loce the idea “ Fender light” 🤣. But the upside is that’s how we all get those extra fenders that are floating about the water. Lol

Yep Can't remember how many fenders I've picked up . Seems that the ones that I find are the really cheap hard plastic ones usually found on tooners.
How many times do you see Toons going down the lake dragging there fenders!! Ah summer time!!!

Thanks for the walk thru vid C272.

She’s shining like a diamond.

You may want to make sure the head door hinges are fully tightened. Sounded like it banged a little while closing.

What is the red stuff on the floor n the head?

Hoping it's as clean as it looks. I have service and detailing records going all the way back to 2005.

Good call on the hinge doors. I think the red stuff in the head is some kind of residue from a pack of those really nice orange life vests. We will see tomorrow.

Awesome! Congratulations, and Welcome to the Cobalt Club! You will love that boat. Now to anticipate spring! It's not that far off so it won't be long, but it'll feel like it.

Being as you're in Seattle you may not need a bimini, but it may be worth looking around for one. In our area it a "must have". And now it's time for personalizing. Stereo, speakers, lighting, swimdeck covering, yadayadayada. We call that bonding around here. 😁

I'd also probably swap the tires out for a new set, regardless of how much tread they have. Trailer tires wear in the sidewalls, not on the tread, and the rear axle picks up all the heat from the front, so you always see the rear blow out first.. Check the date code on the tires and if they're over 3 years old chunk'em, otherwise you'll likely get a blowout. And if that happens it'll tear the hell out of your trailer fenders. Are you trailering from Arkansas to Washington? If so then you most definitely need to head straight to the tire shop.

And dont be ashamed to post some pictures of garage boating, because we all do! Until spring hits, it's really nice to climb in with a cocktail and listen to the tunes while relaxing!

Something else...

You might start a thread about getting her home. Tell us about your search, are you trailering or are you having someone else do it, where you plan to store her, where you boat, and anything else we can read about or see pictures of while waiting for spring! This forum is how we all get out "boat fix".

Ahhhhh that’s all good stuff right there!!

Ok... is that the trailer for her? Or is it the yard trailer they use for a variety of boats??

There is a “bow stop” missing on the trailer. It is a simple clamp on unit that the dealer should add before you ship her.

Here’s an example but the trailer mfg can also get you one.

Congratulations again! Very exciting 👍🏼

Ewww.. good catch Matt! I missed that, and without it she'll bounce like BBs checkbook. It's pretty hard on the bunks too.

You guys (and gals) are all so helpful!

Boat was purchased out of Lake Coeur D'Alene in Idaho, 30min from the WA state border near Spokane. The haul to Seattle is about 300. The dealer, Hagadone Marine, is going to store her indoors for me and deliver in late April. No garage boating for me...yet :-)

Good catch on the bow stop, Matt. Dealer will install prior to delivery (not sure why it wasn't attached yesterday).

YTsmn, good call on the tires and great insight moving forward. Good news is that the trailer is brand new, so hopefully the tires are under 3yr old.

Any recommendations for size and brand of lines? I was thinking two or three each 3/8in 15ft and 1/2in by 25ft. Brands?

Thanks for the welcome and help!

I would get at least 4 of each. One for each corner. You can never have too many. I like 3/8 only because 1/2 ain't fit in my tiny cleats. The 262 and 282 boots will chime in.
