Was placing my order till I got all the way to the bottom of the order page where it asks for engine and outdrive serial numbers. The boat is in winter storage at the lake and I can find the numbers on any of the paperwork I have!

Hull ID number?..Got that all over the place but not the engine and outdrive numbers. I guess I'll try to call tomorrow to see if they can help take my money.

Thanks for the suggestion. That was one of the places I looked. Hopefully they won't have to have them to sell me one. They can't be serial number specific units.

This was from my 2004 cobalt 200. 350 mag with bravo 3 drive. Try it to see.

I always read here that everyone helps spend each others money..now I got to experience it myself.

Another place that would of had it was cobalt customer service. I had called them with the hull Id on a boat that I was looking at and they had the motor and drive serials on file. So I could tell if it was original.

Ughhh

Installed VesselView but phone won’t recognize the module. Some engines require the terminator cap which is a separate piece that connects to the wiring. There is a Y line off of the CAN line that needs this terminator. It’s mercury part 859318t1.

Hopefully this will help anyone else who installs vessel view. If your Y line has the yellow terminator cap already installed then you do not need to order it. If you have the purple end cap (like I have shown in the picture) then you need to order it.

Got the terminator piece and installed it onto the “Y” of the VesselView wiring module.

Went to connect via Bluetooth and nothing was found. Uh oh

.

Rebooted phone and turned stereo off. Closed app.

Tried again and BINGO! Phone connection success! Now she connects with no problems. AND you can still connect to other Bluetooth devices while connected to VesselView.

It’s a GREAT product. All sorts of parameters can be read on your phone. I’d highly recommend this product. Below is just a sampling of those parameters. ....

Plus you can select your dealers and it will send them engine feed data. Also reads codes when connected to the internet.
GPS Speed, etc.
