I would do some searching for 272 pics. Then if you get lucky go touch one. Look inside your anchor locker and look for the harness connectors. They should be there in the loom. Then drill your holes close to that harness. Boom bam done. Here's a small light version and a large light version.

These pics are of my 2008 272, docking lights are on the factory invoice, so placement should be factory spec.

Looks like factory 272 DL are set further aft that the big SS can DL on other models

It really doesn't matter where they are as long as it's in the anchor locker.

True. And that way when you push one out as result of jumping waves Miami Vice style, it falls into the anchor locker (don’t ask me how I know). . :lol:

I have thought most DL I've observed are mounted further towards the bow than these... don't
have any idea what difference it could make.

Haven't tried to push them back into the anchor locker, yet.. :lol: :lol:

Does anyone know where I can find the 262 style stainless steel can docking lights? FP marine doesn't have them though they are listed on their site.
