IMO, NOTHING shows green lake scum and that ugly black streaking dirt more than white, and white would be my last choice for a bottom color. My last boat was all white, and I have plenty of experience washing and acid treating lake scum. For me, absolutely never a white boat again.
My entire hull is Navy, and comes out of the water looking brand new.. I do wash it every time, but honestly, it never looks dirty, even when it is. Water spots are the only downside, but that is an easy problem to remedy.

I think the concern isn't around showing dirt, it's around the gel fade over time all boats get, especially when wet slipped. My last boat had a grey bottom, and you could clearly see the water line after years of being wet slipped and acid washed every season. My new boat has it too, but being white it's much harder to see, which mattered to me since this boat will either be on the trailer, or a lift where the hull can be seen.

I’m with you guys as I see two types of stains on our waterway that a colored hull would be nice.
Normal scum line ring at the water line that is usually heavier with exhaust soot on the transom.

Then the splotchy yellowing that occurs bellow waterline ( that creeps in over months) as a yearly acid wash ( and rewax) corrects easily.
Black transoms and bottoms are the thing right now on the latest off-shore performance boats as they do hide exhaust soot really well. But they are less easy to make perfect in clean up than a white transom as white does hide missed areas.

It’s seems Auto MFG had it right when they went with “ Pewter Beiges “ as they are dirty day one.
That’s it! A pewter bottom Cobalt..Done!

When Cobalt puts a warranty exclusion on coloured gel coat bottoms for wet slipped boats, its a sit up and take notice hint. As I posted earlier, I contacted Cobalt and they advised against a coloured bottom. That was enough for em to order a boat with a white bottom.
