I fished around in there with a hanger and a magnet. Not being able to get my head in there was a disadvantage. I don’t know how it got in there so deep!
For the time being, I left the old belt on there. I figured I’d see what happens before I wasted another new stupid-expensive belt. I got the OEM one from Volvo.

Remember stainless steel is not magnetic. Get the claw!

Forget about the green circle. But you can always remove your engine to get to that bolt or change the oil. But it prob is under the bilge pump cover.

In any event, I think he said he lost it in the forward “cave” of emptiness. It will eventually flow back and then lodge under the bilge plate.

I’m glad my bilge pump plate is loose! I’ve found all kinds of stuff under there.
