Welcome Chele-

Here's some basic facts for you--an awful lot of what is posted here is based on an inside joke from one time or another, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. The good thing is there's some pretty solid knowledge on here and if someone takes the time to post, it's probably going to point you to the right selection, or at least direction, unless it's about engine power and coming from BBP. He's the only member here who believes that 12 jet engines on a jon boat is underpowered......

In all seriousness, it's a really great group of people that have experience in just about every walk of life and are willing to share the knowledge because they can and they genuinely want to help....boating related or not. You'll learn to "loce potting the jus" in no time (now you've got homework!)

Hey welcome to the Asylum, and no judgement here! Especially if you don't use too many short jokes. BB is a little sensitive in that area.

And I can offer no advice. I back into my slip Stern first

Ha! Good one Nauti!

You see? You see what happens with the short jokes?

Btw Chelo, check your quick drain. Bad things happen when you leave it open. 😁

At least I'm better at backing into my slip than you are at backing into your garage!

I have meant to post this all week and just kept forgetting. Saw this while we were on Cumberland this weekend. Would something like this help you get in and out of the boat while it is on the lift?

He could have Slide build a combo walker and stair. Use the walker to get out on the dock and into the boat.

No judgement zone? πŸ€”
Well, until we get to know you. Until then, we will just pretend to be nice...🀣🀣

I don’t have a lift, but I do trailer. The first few loads were from hell. It had me wondering WTH, but everything you know and are comfortable with naturally changes when changing boats.

So my experience with this is just that... a little more experience.
After a few loads, it goes like clockwork now. Just give yourself a break, have some patience and a little experience time and you will have it totally figured out.
