Cobalt factory lights have two LED fixtures cut into either side of the drive in the transom - not a plug light.
I was thinking the same! Maybe I can switch the dash buttons, cause for no good reason, it annoys the crap out of me I have to push the slightly wrong button name
Have you considered just ordering the factory parts from Cobalt? Maybe I'm crazy but I'd be a bit nervous replacing the drain plug with anything thta has the potential to let water into the boat. I guess the manufacturer of the drain plug light has that taken into consideration with its design?

Direct from cobalt > $1800 if ordered with boat. While cobalt may be comfortable cutting holes in the transom, I'm not!
I suppose there is some risk, but they are made of 6061 marine grade solid billet aluminum and very solid.

Looks great. Still cannot believe no connectors for factory under water lights in transom. I am with you. Switch the wires at the dash....

I’m wondering if the harness connector could be tied up low on the engine where the UW lights would be. Just got to the boat and will have a look this eve...

Ahahah. As usual, we got to the lake, and despite best intentions, enjoyed ourselves and didn’t crawl under the engine. Next time! I know that connector is somewhere...
