Great story. Nothing to be ashamed of. I was following my father towing a boston whaler when the wheel popped off and flew into the woods.

I got out to look for the tire but couldn't find it (came of going 50+ and shot into a glen). Expected find my dad parked around the next bend in the road... Nope. 6 miles later I found him pulled over by a Statie. I gave up on him being pulled over and just followed the gouge in the road.

Well with respect to your dad, ours was at night and the sparks flying behind us were hard not to notice to say the least! Daytime for him so the skid to follow! Ha!

Not sure he would've noticed!

This isnt a "first love" but this old girl kept us without a single issue for over ten years with some great memories.

I asked my wife if she ever wanted to go back in time for a ride on her. She said "No way HoeZay. I'll stick with the Cobalt". She's such a good wife!

Well if it weren't for those old hoopties we used to own, we wouldn't know just how sweet a Cobalt is.

The more I think about it the "Duct Tape" I believe was a starcraft. Still looking for a pic of my dad's Century. But I got another gem coming...

Yes...great boat. Notice the lack of hydraulic lift for the outdrive. Glad mine came with that!

Here's a photo of my Dad driving his 17' VIP Tri-Hull bass boat. He loved to fish, me and brother spent many a day with him on a lot of different lakes.

How he kept that cowboy hat on I have no idea.

He's been gone now almost 30 years.

Cheers to our dad's driller...and to what they taught us! Looks like a great man with a great demeanor with whom I certainly would have enjoyed fishing!
